Our approach
Chapter 3 Capital partners with founders at the earliest stage, while their invention is still taking shape. We don’t pick sectors. We look for two gaps: a real need in the market the invention can fill, and the trust gap between what it can do and what people are ready to welcome. Then we help close both.
Engagement model
Money alone has never made a company succeed. It accelerates what works; it can’t prove that something works. So every engagement is shaped around what the company needs most to get there: an embedded leadership role, strategy and storytelling, hands-on operator support, end-to-end technical build capacity, or introductions across a hand-picked global network of Fortune 500 C-suites, unicorn founders and board members, leading academics and blue-chip financial institutions. Once the proof is there, capital can follow, and that is when it makes all the difference.
Our process
In Chapter 1, while the invention is still taking shape, we help founders understand who it is for: who will welcome it first, who it must ultimately reach, and what business can be built around them. In Chapter 2, we help win over those first people through positioning, storytelling, partnerships and go-to-market. In Chapter 3, we help turn early believers into a market, bringing in the partners, talent and capital that growth requires.
What’s in the name “Chapter 3”?
Chapter 1 of Founding Partner Olivier Rabenschlag (opens in a new tab)’s career was 14 years in advertising, building globally successful brands through storytelling, creativity and marketing. Chapter 2 was 11 years at Google, where he led a cross-Alphabet incubator that built, humanized and commercialized emerging technologies and brought them to the masses. Along the way, he invested in 20 companies, including 4 unicorns and 1 decacorn. Chapter 3 Capital brings both together: the craft of making people want something new, and the know-how to build a business that takes it to scale. The name carries a second meaning too: the third chapter every invention hopes to reach.
